The Madina Mayurqa Foundation published a book that compiles an extraordinary photographic collection from the early 20th century. It is a collection with more than 1200 positive glass plates from the Vignetti-Obrador collection. An album that pays tribute to Fanny Obrador (1896-1955), nonconformist, adventurer and fighter for freedom and justice. This historic collection of photographs invites us to travel back in time to witness her travels and her perspective of both the world and her island, at the beginning of the 20th century.
Easter Week Domasos
The initiative to recover the tradition of the Easter domassos, in collaboration with the parish and residents of the Santa Creu neighborhood , seeks to revitalize a custom deeply rooted in local culture. The ornamental fabrics, placed on balconies and windows during the celebrations, will once again dress the streets of the neighborhood, reinforcing the sense of community and keeping alive an expression of intangible heritage linked to the Mallorcan identity.
